Students from 50 provincial schools participates in the 4th Mega-Concert of Children’s Choir

More than 1500 students from primary schools in Region 3 - node Santa Fe participate in it.

The "4th Mega-Concert of Children’s Choir – Music Teachers’s Choir" was held during four days, in two daily functions, at the Theatre Luz y Fuerza, comprising more than 1500 pupils from 50 primary schools in Region 3 - node Santa Fe.

The first performance was attended by the Provincial Director of Primary Education, Stella Lapelle, who said that "this inter-ministerial project aims to socialise the choral activity developed in different primary schools in the IV delegation. The Choral activity not only gathers children but also promotes and raises awareness; it is an excellent opportunity which gives account of the collective, the solidarity, participation and register of the other, of inclusion", she said.

"From multiple enabling learning scenarios, in this case through music, singing and acting redefine skills, knowledge and feelings. These learning spaces invite children to imagine new proposals for working, rethinking, designing and organising projects and programs from multiple languages, taking into consideration issues such as school experiences, “interculturalism” and consideration of the body as one of the main lines of knowledge", concluded Lapelle.

There were a total of eight concerts where the participating students performed alongside their teachers "The misadventures of Alice in wonderland", a musical tale by the Argentine composer Oscar Escalada, who was present at one of the performances.

In this new edition there were choirs representing the towns of Santa Fe, Santo Tomé, Sa Pereira, San Carlos Centro, San Carlos Norte, Matilde, Coronda, Sauce Viejo, Alto Verde, San José del Rincón, Colastiné, San Jerónimo del Sauce, Colonia Dolores, Marcelino Escalada and Cacique Ariacaiquin

 This proposal, under the artistic direction of the Choral Institute and staging by Cecilia Sbodio, is unique in the country, its main objective is to promote the choral activity in primary schools, so for more than six months it has been carried out an intense work of training for music teachers of the 50 participating schools , and rehearsals with choirs and characters of the casts.
